Has ANY remaster ever retained the soul of the original?
If they fixed the shitty lighting in the first game it's an improvement regardless of anything else in the game.

Command and Conquer?
1&2 HD is literally the definitive version of Yakuza. It makes the PS2 versions completely irrelevant as it's only upgrades across the board with zero downsides. You even gain stuff in 5 if you have a save file from both games. They left basically everything visually the same outside of making the backgrounds actually visible instead of blurry, updated the signs to be higher resolution, and added some quality of life features. That's pretty much it.

Mario rpg for the most part. Unfortunately they added those ugly sci-fi shields for defense but other than that it's pretty perfect.
