It's about the journey, not the ending. There's more to the story than just the subjective truth bits (though obviously that's the main theme since you can't really trust anyone's tales 100%). If you want the "canon truth" read the manga.

I liked part 1 because of the atmosphere. I also liked the message, unlike OP, or, at the very least, thought it was interesting, especially with how it was integrated into the rules of the game. With that being said, the only good thing about any of the other parts is Erika being batshit insane and the OST.
