>>735175316Came here to post this. Nemesis is still a better, cooler monster than "Mr. X," but Mr. X has the benefit of being in a much better game. That's true of the original games too, but the difference is much greater in the remakes where REmake 3 is only half a game and everyone hated it.

What's the point of "remaking" a game in the first place if you aren't going to touch up and improve some of the bad parts? Especially when you're doing a remake like the REmakes are where you aren't going for 1:1 recreations of the original. It would have been the perfect opportunity to go back and revisit those bad parts, find out what didn't work, and try to make them good. Cutting them is a cop out, especially when the game is already too short and you really can't afford to lose any more playtime before it starts to feel like half of a game
