Ancient gears needs new support...I played it in the DC and its credibly sink or swim. The limitations it places on itself are absurd especially in the current meta. The LEGE support really awkwardly made itself reliant on old cards like AG catapult for some odd reason and the gimmick of setting an AG continous trap face up by banishing a fusion material you'll need after you've locked yourself out of setting cards ever is so off theme and feels masochistic to execute. Even after you've done all that and committed to summoning a Ultimate golem over chaos giant if you're opponent doesn't control a monster you can't fusion summoning using duel so now AG can OTK NEARLY empty boards but actually empty boards great.I still got to Dlv. Max but it made me angry if konami's intention was to have AG players feel like crowler they succeeded because with all these restrictions and stupid gimmicks I have playthrough make me feel like I was set up to lose.Also dracotail might be a meme you guys because I never lost to it

Because Maliss could set traps and quick effect summon its Links from GY or banish it could dodge anything, even something like Shiina loses tempo against Maliss. What's worse, Maliss was so oppressive it got players to run x3 lancea, x3 fuwa and x2 roach, along with x3 droll by both Maliss and Orcust to counter the aforementioned fuwa and roach. If you used any kind of banishing in your toolkit you were fucked as a byproduct of the maliss meta. It also had access to Apollousa to cap off an unbreakable board. Maliss was objectively the best deck because it could self droll which Ryzeal couldn't. The entire game revolved around countering Maliss which beat its counters when the @ignister shit dropped.This format isn't good but for opposite reasons. Dracotail and K9VS have opposite counterplay. If Stake your Soul was searchable by Madlove it might be easier in fact, since you could reliably use Retaliating C against it and Yummy Mitsu. But because it's not, there's no silver bullets against VSK9 and what's good against it isn't good against Dracotail. That applies for handtraps and breakers. Duster, Raigeki, Super Poly are bad vs Dracotail but impactful vs K9VS. Evenly and Reboot also do damage but it's often not enough because your opponent got to play the game too much.
