I KNOW you know more than "sometime this year", I KNOW you are part of the gay discord cabal that is trying to make me boot up morrowind before the next new content drop, YOU WILL give me this information, or I WILL install one of those zoomer combat mods that removes hitchance for my next playthrough. So spill it.

>it's not a professional studio we're talking about
It is in the most literal terms when we're talking about a dev team that will gleefully take donations for dragging their feet as long as possible. If they're getting paid for their work, they are doing it as a profession.
>>
>>735514359
Pretty sure they don't take donations or make money from the project in any way

It's interesting they portray the wood elves as beggars and thieves that build shit outta rotting flesh for the most part. I guess I never payed too much attention to the lore books. I always was more fascinated by their massive tree structures and what that'd look like in a game. Also the living trees that move around sounds crazy, sad that we'll never get to see it in a tes game.

I'm trying to build a quest mod for mw right now. I'm cutting my teeth on creating a dungeon, well a mold cave really. I wish things were labeled better but what can you do. The most difficult part is figuring out how to merge sections of a dungeon's assets correctly without too much clipping and gaps.

By turning position and rotation snap on.

They do not accept donations. It is impossible to give a release date because of the way they are organised. They aren’t really a proper team, there’s no one who stands up and tells everyone what to do. Essentially, they have a shared list of tasks that need to be done, and people choose which ones to work on. For example, each yellow square on picrel represents that someone has said they’re working on that exterior, whilst the green ones indicate that someone has already completed their work and it’s undergoing quality control. So it’s hard to say when everyone will finish their work. Same goes for dialogues, quests, models and everything else.
I hope that’s clear enough, you stupid nigger
And before you start bitching, everyone’s actively working on development and there’s no empty bullshit, unlike what usually happens with big mods

god, I cannot fucking wait for almalexia (city), I know we're several years off but fuck me I wanna kidnap almalexia (slut) so bad

What is the story with the TR_preview.esp? Did they lock it behind their discord or something? It used to be available on nexus.
>>
>>735517403
It was completely scrapped because it took too much effort and they got tired of the idiots who downloaded it and then complained that it was empty on Discord and forums
>>
>>735517403
They got rid of it so that retards wouldn't go to the preview areas and be like
>wow so i guess this Tamriel Rebuilt thing really is just an empty world to take pictures in with no actual content in it after all!!!! worthless!!!!
Which was apparently a fairly common occurrence

Damn that sucks I understand though. I think somebody made a mod that adds a border around the tr map with empty landmasses though. The hard stop to the map doesn't really bother me so I never tried it.

>>735517075
Almalexia (slut) is in Mournhold at the centre of the city, you can get to her right now.
>>
>>735517951
The map was pointless anyway, every content update they'd change the terrain and add new assets making the preview non-representative.

I feel like you have to take atronach, and preferably be a breton or altmer, to actually engage with the magic system in this game. You get such a pitiful amount of mana otherwise.

yes but you can't leave with her, the only transport out of the city is through the person who teleports you and that doesn't teleport followers with you
>>
>>735526440
Apprentice is perfectly fine, especially with all of the boosts you can get from equips, although it's worth getting mods to fix the broken solstheim ring.
Atronach isn't useful for the magic boost, it's taken for the 50% spell absorb defensive value.

>"Maar Gan is not a destination; it's a test of endurance. You're huddled inside a hollowed-out giant insect shell while the Red Mountain ash storms literally try to sandblast the skin off your face. The Temple sends pilgrims here to look at a magic rock, but the locals know the real religion is found at the bottom of a bottle. I sat in the corner of the Andus Tradehouse with a retired Buoyant Armiger who looked like he hadn't slept since the Second Era. We drank a terrifying, cloudy vintage of Greef that tasted faintly of copper and ash, tearing into strips of leathery, salt-cured cliff racer. You don't drink for the taste out here. You drink to convince your lungs to take another breath of the dust."
>>
>>735510773
>"House Hlaalu is the only Great House that will smile warmly, buy you a drink, and calculate the exact market value of your internal organs all at the same time. In Narsis, even the street food has a hidden agenda. I bought a skewer of heavily charred Alit meat from a vendor in the Market Quarter. He was a retainer for some minor noble; the meat was tough as boots, coated in a violently hot bittergreen glaze, and by the time I finished it, I was pretty sure I had unknowingly signed a binding contract to work an egg-mine in Shipal-Shin."
>>
>>735510773
You picked the two best thematic halves and put them together. The only part that bumps slightly is the transition between the two quotes—the shift from the philosophical awe of the pilgrims to the cynical reality of the "protection racket" needs a slightly smoother, punchier bridge.

Here is the polished version. I tightened the hinge in the middle to make it flow like one continuous, building thought, and tweaked the cadence to give it that rhythmic, world-weary Bourdain punch.

>"We spend our whole lives in the Empire pretending death is a mistake. We hide it, we dress it up, we apologize for it. Not the Dark Elves. They built a sprawling, blinding-white coastal metropolis dedicated entirely to the fact that you are going to die, and your grandmother is going to continue judging you from beyond the grave. You stand on the edge of the Necrom causeway, the salt wind howling off the Padomaic, watching a procession of freezing, exhausted pilgrims march past, and you realize you are profoundly, unapologetically out of your depth.

>Because beneath the weeping and the incense, this place is the ultimate, province wide protection racket, and the currency is your soul. I sat in a smoky, illicit cornerclub just outside the city walls, drinking a mug of heavily spiced, smuggled flin with a disillusioned bone-carver who laid it all out for me. You bring your dead to Necrom because if you don't, the Sharmat gets them. It’s the ultimate leverage. The Temple doesn't need to threaten you with jail time or taxes; they just remind you that the Devil is waking up under Red Mountain, and the only safe house on the continent has a massive cover charge. We ate skewers of tough, aggressively charred kagouti meat straight off a rusted brazier, chewing through the gristle, trying to ignore the absolute, existential dread hanging over the peninsula like a thick fog."
>>
>>735526440
Atronach is a trap option because it causes you to engage with alchemy sooner and remember/learn how it works (it doesn't)
all the fun gimmicks like shrine blessings and incestor ghosts are overshadowed by this curse
>>
>>735531489
nah I've gone through an entire playthrough purely with ancestor ghost/shrine atronach and shop/looted mana pots when necessary, then eventually mace of molag bal
>>
>>735531753
But how much willpower (actual) did you require to do this? How many previous playthroughs did it take to build up to this roleplay decision?
Being able to extract your self from a snare does not make the snare ineffective to others
>>
>>735531885
I played it once back in early 2000s, then did the same character, orc mage, 5-6 years ago then I did it again and actually finished the run including expansions. So uh, 1 playthrough technically. And wtf do you mean willpower, it's an incredibly easy video game and dealing with stunted magicka with the easy to use methods isn't exactly a challenge in any way at all.
>>
>>735532019
Well then you have a more consistent approach than most people I know
>>
>>735517549
ngl back in the day thats what I thought this mod was. People would post screenshots here of them exploring the preview and I just thought thats what the whole thing was like.

Basically Bosmer have four primary architecture styles:
>Building exclusively out of bone and hide on the forest floor
Like something you'd expect out of primitive hunters.
>Building high up in graht-oaks, with bone and hide or imported wood
So fancy mega-tree houses.
>Building imperial-style out of imported wood and stone
You find these on the border or the coast and tend to be built up first by Imperials.
>Living inside literal giant plants and flowers grown that have somehow become hardened and eternal
Pretty much only Silvenar is described like this in lore, but it's supposed to be very pretty.
>>
>>735536558
Don't they imply that growing houses with wood magic is a thing in the Mixed Unit Tactics book though
