It's funny because the Matrix creators are known for being troons, yet not once in the Matrix films is there a character whose avatar in the Matrix is a different gender than they are in the real world (through some mistake by the machines). Seems like it would be an interesting plot device.

Only other game I can think of is original everquest live GM events but those were much more rudimentary compared to MxO
