Guilty Gear was mostly known for its roster of 99% characters being weirdos, the rock music and the fact it was probably the first fighter that was specifically designed for consoles first before the arcade. The sexiness came with the rock music theme, it wasn't specifically made to be sexy the sexiness just came with the territory.

Not much of a coincidence that both the music, the outfits and the violence were simultaneously toned down in Strive. Problem with censoring with a rock music themed game is that nobody likes to listen to lame gospel rock.
