For the most part people don't actually play games heavy enough for the worst case scenario to be applicable. I would never use it for group content outside of the occasional elite quest due to the fact communication is annoying and slow. Also the track pads are a god send when the consoleport addon wigs out or doesn't do what I want. I also have settings sync turned off so it doesn't fuck with my desktop keybinds. Solid 60fps on around 7 or 8 watts on lowish settings too, use GE Proton and turn off vsync but enable the frame limiter in WoWs settings.

I don't get why I would ever buy a deck when you have a phone in your pocket that can use Steam Link. My PC at home runs the games so no limitations and if your connection is good it pretty much feels native. Streaming, under some circumstances, is the preferrable move.

It basically has a 50% better battery life overall according to all online benchmarks. If you're currently getting 4 hours of SoT you'd get 6 hours on the OLED model.The screen is also much better, but honestly less relevant than the battery life improvement. But there is no performance difference at all. So it's a significant enough upgrade where buying the OLED is worth spending $100 more, but it's not a significant enough upgrade if you already have an OLED.

Been playing some Mario Kart Wii on mine due to Wii being added to RA. Decided to pick up the Danganronpa trilogy, SoR4, Shinobi, and Zone of The Enders today. One thing I’m considering is upgrading from my Steam Deck OLED to a Lenovo Legion Go in a year or two since I feel like the Steam Deck has been showing its age and I’d like something that can comfortably run games like FH6 once that’s out.
