And travel takes extremely long time, anything between tens or hundreds of thousands of years. Usually passengers go insane and start brutalizing eachother. WARP Corp makes their actual money by harvesting time from passengers.After the train reaches its destination, all passengers are restored to state they were in right when they sat on their seats. Usually that's the end of that, but the OPs characters, Tommy and Merry happened to take the train when a deranged scientist was on board, and when things started going to hell inside the train, they were fused together into one entity. And then they were transported out of the train before it reached its destination, so they couldn't return to normal either.
