Nomura pussyfooted around the whole subject for nearly 20 years and only finally decided to do when he was facing retirement. And even then Kitase (the coward who won't stain his own legacy) and Nomura (the fading true auteur) have barely been involved much in the last and next work in that series.Fucking Kitase is seriously the most overrated director in Square-Enix, the guy hasn't directed since he fucked up Parasite Eve and ever since then he stepped away to let others take charge of the thing that cemented his name once, under his own watch. He should absolutely be held accountable for this Remake trilogy.
