Hell, the same guy that designed the Star Fox characters and story did the same thing with F-Zero, even having some character homages pop up in both series at some points.Animals in space can have more depth. It's just that Shiggy and the Nintendo old guard don't have a goddamn clue how to map out a sci-fi series like that, so they keep resetting back to the first game's scenario, hoping the nostalgia and gameplay gimmicks alone will keep it alive.
