There are many times when you could consider the story 'done' but the game likes to keep going up and up in terms of scalation and progression. Hell, once you reach the normal ending, the game makes Do it all over asgain, so the hero could literally get his perfect ending>is it even good? Very much so. The game is relatively simple: side scroller button masher, but there are some things that add depth to it, like summons/magic that have different effects like orbiting shields, raw dps, buffs, etc. And then there's skills that can range from 'letting wield a shiedl with weapons that don't let you' to 'Do x3 damage, die in a hit'. There's a enough player expression in how you tackle the game. The game is also packed with content, you have the main campaign, hunting down chests for extra stuff, the arena combat challenges. For a game that is so relatively simple, it took me a whooping 100 hours to do almost everything i could, and i enjoyed almost everything in it because it was never chores like korok seeds.>why does /v/ keep gushing about this game?It's a competent game. It's fun. The plot is told in a very earnest kind of way. It reminds some people to TTGL in that it keeps going up and up. And well, the fact this took a man 16 years to make, and most of the game is stock assets yet never feeling cheap or poor, is a pretty impressive feat. It's a game that comes from the heart. I know it sounds autistic, but that's the only i have to explain: The crystalization of man's dream, the proof of his existence.

>>735604585>worth?Can sort of be described as Rance but with a retired widowed boomer forced to be a harem protagonist. From there, the plot goes full politics and economics lesson about gaining allies in the church, neighboring kingdoms and trade partners, making bussiness, etc. Its mostly played straight with little to no irony, and it even devolves into considering stuff like the actual logistics of what a demons addicted to sex would imply. And the harem Is fairly likeable and well developed, has a strange feminine touch to it, so there's a decent focus on how the girls feel in relation to the MC. Its weird but pretty pleasant, kinda like a josei manga at times. Read the first chapter, that should give you a decent idea of what to expect and it's relatively short
