Yeah you aunlock a witch and basic embedding and extracting gears. But you can also combine them e.g. 3x Damage reduction 1.0 gives you 1 Damage reduction 2.0.
I just unlocked the witch in red robe but don't have the option to combine.

I really wish shining your sword showed off the abyss artifacts a bit better. If there's literally anything in between you and it it'll just be invisible. Why do you need direct line of sight? Could they not have just made it shine a light above it to make it a bit easier to spot?

Gotta admit, the first 5 chapters were really a lot of WTF moments but I liked how you recruit your old clan members, started to care about the story again. It's not a masterpiece but it's good enough.

The tip to explore open world more with chapter 6 was bullshit though. It was fighting all the time, action loaded, you still didn't unlocked Oongka and the girl is locked for story reasons. Hope after chapter 7 that all 3 are playable. Can't wait for the desert since I love this kind of biome.

I was thinking about going for all the achievements for the game and I noticed there doesn't actually seem to be one for doing every quest funnily enough. Every other achievement covers pretty much everything but for that specifically there doesn't seem to be anything tied to doing quests.

Depends. I liked the first chapter although I know I'm pretty alone with that. That whole loosely associated stuff where you give money to a beggar who gives you a key to a sewer where you rescue a mysterious woman and then later save a cat for a child and then the jey turns into a different key that unlocks a secret room in a castle with a portal to an alternate world where it turns out those random people you helped are metaphysical entities helping you... I dunno, it's some borderline Twin Peaks lodge shit,bI kinda dug it.

Then you spend a lot of time doing stuff that feels like it should have been side content. Like, it kinda connects to an overarching story, you help a local noble with bandits so he can give you a patch of land to reestablish your crew and oust the corrupt leader of the merchants guild so you get their support... it's not pointless, just kind of rudimentary.

What I liked was the part where you had to repair the kiln for the weird pot guy and some of the stuff at the institute. Maybe it's just the baby in me that still gets excited at Fisher Price toys but you let me fiddle with weird magitech devices and push buttons and pull levers and put square pieces into square holes and it goes "thunk" and makes stuff happen, I basedface.
