Sony should focus more on single-player experiences. I think that's their strong point. They've already invested over $400 million into Concord and look where that got them.

>>735637634Because they used to be a completely different studio, as you can see in the OP, made sure Sony's huge obsession with live service. That got shut down and then they got a second chance because I guess Helldivers 2 emboldened Sony to keep trying or god knows what.And then reality sunk in and they shut them down.So probably it was better to just cull them now rather than risk spending hundreds of millions of dollars for another Concord-level disaster in 4-7 years.

>>735637307What I don’t get is why don’t they just make these studios produce cheap AA games instead of closing them. They’ll make a profit even if they’re PS5 exclusives and will provide the console the feeling of a larger exclusive library that’ll make it more attractive to consumers. And also it can help the PlayStation have an identity again for the first time since the PS3 days.
