Not all mutations are created equal, keep an eye out for a really good one, and realize if you keep mutating a cat eventually the mutations will just be overriding other mutations on your cancerous puddle of mutagenic cat cruor. You only have so many runs before it breaks though, and you want to hyper mutate good breeding stock. If you lose the run though, you lose your cancer and your mutated cats, so it's a balancing act. You might only be able to properly 'ascend' one or two cats per run safely, then they'll be your prime breeders. But let Samuel here be a cautionary tale. If your cat has 1 Charisma nobody will want to fuck them, Samuel hasn't had one kitten in his long life. He attempted to mate with at least two straight female cats and was rejected.

you'd think having a full team of soul linking basic attack cats would be more useful than it actually is but most of my cats just end up one-shotting their targets before they can actually spread the link and the game doesn't alllow you to over-kill and drain more hp from linked targets than the one you hit actually hasnot to mention that armor just negates the mechanic entirely
