>>735874373>What made you go for PC gaming instead of Console gaming?i have spent maybe a total of 4k in my entire lifetime, with my first custom pc build costing me like 800 bucks back in 2008/9 or something. last time i upgraded my pc was 2021 i think, a few months after the 3080 came out. i have had zero reason to upgrade since then, i get nearly every game i want to play for free or heavily discounted, it does more than just play video games, and it just werks. it's where i spent most of my time when not at work. these days i use it to play rock smith or using guitar rig to practice guitar. for something that cost me so little over time, it has put out more entertainment than i could have ever imagined when i first put one together.

My main unwind and relax methodology is sitting at my desk with Youtube up on a second monitor while looking up used gpus for cheap or new ideas for woodworking. Bought an old craftsman lathe last year and i've been making bowls and vases and shit. idk. Problem i've always had with consoles is that when you dont wanna play anything the only option from the couch is just be idle and watch something on TV. I like watching youtube but i also like actually doing shit instead of just sitting there. I guess phones kinda fill that space but its never really been the same as sitting at a desk.
