What are the best World of Darkness games? Choice of Games interactive novels included.
>>735936684Tremere girl with her edgelord black square glasses and blood red velvet dress but keeping high humanity and always picking the cutie patootie goody two shoes dialogue and quest choices is a fun character to play.
>>735936684There's really no good ones. It's a cursed property, like Dune.
>>735936684If we're including Choice Of then I really enjoyed Night Road.>>735939771You take that back!
the hunter games are fun but they're not what i want out of htr material tone or gameplay-wise
>>735936684why is there a fart cloud behind her?
>>735936684isn't there like 2 in total?
>>735940286Three. One quasi action RPG, not quite neverwinter nights. Bloodlines 1 and 2. Then there's Swansong, and some ultra low budget VNs.My personal favorite is the very first one. Starts in the middle ages prague, and goes to the modern day. Very 90's
>>735936684The real tragedy, like anon>>735939771 points out, is that despite our personal enjoyment of the games, all the games end up kind of flawed or niche one way or the other. Barring clearly corposlop like Earthblood or Bloodlines 2 which are the only outright mediocrely bad games, everything ends up a bit hard to enjoy for one reason or another despite being well directed or having the distinct tone and atmosphere of the IP.>RedemptionOld as hell and it's something of a diablo-like>BloodlinesInfamously buggy and has unfinished portion despite being the gold standard for adapting in terms of tone and atmosphere with great dialogue>Wraith VR and Vampire VRVR, despite being good games. Small too>SwansongBasically a glorified VN>The VN'sThe first one is incredibly good, not so much the rest>Text cyoasOutside of Sins of the Sire and Out for Blood they're all good, though Night Road is probably the most matching in tone. The problem is that it's all locked to the 5th edition
>>735940580The VR games for Wraith and Vampire are actually quite good
>>735941789I missed the Hunter Xbox games in here too, allegedly they were fun
>>735936684I liked Coteries and Shadows of New York although the latter had obnoxious writing at times. Very cool art style and I felt they captured the sleazy, grim and cynical tone and political intrigue I would want from a VtM story. I heard Reckoning or whatever the third one is called was slop. Swansong I tried to play but despite having a higher tolerance for woke bullshit that most people on this board I genuinely couldn’t deal with how pozzed it was, vitiligo, obese lesbian toreadors, explicit references to fighting the nazis, the first 10 minutes made me want to vomit.
>>735941789Teyon working on Hunter game while also evoking VTMB feelings hypes me up for that game
>>735942117I do hope they succeed, their Robocop adaptation was exceptional
>also known as World of Darkness Online, was a cancelled massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in development by CCP Games from 2006 until its cancellation in 2014>It was based on the World of Darkness series of tabletop role-playing games by White Wolf Publishing
will it be good?
>>735943146it's Teyon so it will, they're pivoting to RPG so you can expect VTMB vibes and devs are also big fan of VTMB so personally i'm looking forward for this
>>735942459i bet if they had VR integration, massive character customization, and other features for casuals they could have tapped into both hardcore mmo players and casuals
>>735942459female vampire meta...
>>735943593>it's TeyonThat's nice to hear but the guy in the trailer looked so goofy.
>>735936684Space Station 13 servers. Because.
What race will be the best for a WoD CRPG?
>>735943681The biggest problem with VR is battery life, and MMOs lend themselves to long sessions that would outlive a VR headset connected to power (except for old shit like the Rift where it had no battery). The headsets need to accept more wattage to outcharge the drain.
>>735936684The one where you play as mayor
>>735943146Maybe.
>>735943146They made a few shitty Snowblind Engine games.
>>735945648
>>735945265Wizards since they are OP.>>735945575Why are games looking worse now than games made 10 years ago?>>735945806>If only you knew how bad things were
>>735945896>Why are games looking worse now than games made 10 years ago?that's a pre-alfa leak that some dumdum replaced the files of robocop game with
>>735945896>Why are games looking worse now than games made 10 years ago? They aren't. If you cherrypick, you can always find examples.WHY DOES THIS LOOK WORSE THAN FFVI????????????????????????????????????????????
>>735946506don't be a smartass. you know what I meant
>>735945896>Why are games looking worse now than games made 10 years ago?women are lazy and don't put in effort into anything
>>735936684VtMB
>>735946704Yes, I do. You saw a game that looked bad, and you wanted to do your>you don't need more than [my poorbox], because games are worsething. You're poor and a liar.
>>735946824>women are lazy and don't put in effort into anythingbut most "women" devs were formerly men.
>>735946924Nice projection dude. Hope you get enough money to buy a new PC.
>>735946941There's a good number of worthless real women devs. Trannies are an outlier because the Y chromosome allows for productivity, and they're still men.Roberta Williams and Amy Hennig are the only two real women devs responsible for any actual work that I can think of.>>735946979Why would I need one? I don't need more than [your poorbox].
>>735936684Still annoyed we never got a Mage game with a good magic system.
>>735948553Mages are too OP.
>>735948553>Good Mage game? Don't talk about-- Good Mage game? You kidding me? Good Mage game? I just hope we can get a good World of Darkness game.
>>735943146It's Teyon trying their hands on an actual RPG.I'd say 70% chance of being okay and 30% being very good if nothing publisher-related happens.
>>735948553simply no way of doing this without some kind of ai dm that can adjust on the fly to you turning bullets into snowflakeswhy do people ask for a mage crpg? utterly baffling. go play the tabletop with a decent dm
>>735948674Just play as an apprentice PC. Or maybe set the story somewhere in deep umbra, with umranl entities and archimages sheannigans.>>735948693We got bloodlines, at least.>>735950665>simply no way of doing this without some kind of ai dm that can adjust on the fly to you turning bullets into snowflakesIt would definitely be a good use case for AI in gaming - instead of that nvidia shit. That being said something simpler is perfectly doable without AI : just combine magical influences to craft spells. Look at Cultist Simulator/Book of Hours, and substitute principles for the Mage Spheres.
>>735951223I never bothered to finish it. Even with the latest official and community patches, it's too broken to enjoy. I can listen to Chiasm and Darling Violetta on my own time.
>>735943146Hopefully.I was sad over what happened with Earthblood and how it was gutted while Bloodlines 2 was an utter travesty.
It's a great world, I wish there were more games
>>735943146teyon should have made bl2
