Because my autism only allows me to either play the vanilla game pre-2017 which is my selected year where i stopped liking the game as it was or use Luanti/Minetest and start a brand new grid not bound to mining or crafting and deviating from the block system as much as possible

>>735955057I would argue that the tensura reincarnated mod is a must try, although I don't know how the experience goes without knowing the source material. There's a bunch of addons to it, one that I haven't tried (because it's somewhat new) adds the dungeon from tensura. I would recommend it and playing on hardcore (or whatever is called) early on, because every time you die, you can pick a different race to try out and you'll get a different unique skill. There's also a Rimuru mode if you want the anime experience.
