A successful live-service shooter will make billions every year, so as long as they have 1 success for every 4 failures they'll quickly break even.Of course that ignores the fact that even from the successful ones that do billions per year in revenue, very few are hugely profitable due to the insane spending required to keep the microtransactions going. So the real chances of making a truly profitable success like Apex Legends are obscenely low.
