It fits the character, it fits the relationship with Sam and Amelie so it's more of a thematic happenstance or maybe a reference to a narrative stub they ended up not going with. In some other universe, beach time being convoluted, it's a story that doesn't exist.Back in DS1 i thought Lou was a boy and i was pretty sure Deadman called Lou a He in one cutscene. A mistake on my part or did i sense something.In the actual game though.Higgs clearly loves Sam obsessionally, enough to want to be cradled in his arms and the little heart is a silent confession from Higgs or at least a meta one.
