Appealing characters, but they are a bit one dimensional. Story is, uh.. let's just say the themes and imagery are immaculate, but the execution of the story itself is pretty basic.Problems you might have in the beginning: they stupidly locked all the combat abilities behind progression. Progression is fast but when you start you will only have basic attacks and basic parries. Only one beta charge, no burst charge, no ranged gun attacks, only a few combos, no double jump, no double dash, no mid air dash, bunch of other shit missing. But once you get through the tutorial zone and then leave the main hub you will have a considerable amount of options to work with.

I'm too retarded for Stellar Blade and any of those "melee action in an arena" type of games. When I was really young I liked DMC on PS2 but I tried one on Xbox 360 and got smoked and dropped it. I tried Stellar Blade a year ago and had a miserable time with it. Random enemies in groups would murder me, bosses would kill me in a couple of hits and I couldn't memorize some of the more advanced combos where's it's like "when you dodge, light attack, heavy attack into quick attack x3" or whatever.I beat some woman with a spear who was testing me and went to some junkyard with aggressive giant enemies that trashed me and I gave up.

Automata has innovative game direction, art style and great music. Technically it is unimpressive and combat is also kinda jank. In terms of what you do in the game, the game is 80% fetch quests by volume(+10% escort quests). It's definitely worth experiencing, but I was so glad I could go back to games that weren't jank after I got to ending E. Played on Hard. Probably shouldn't have. The game just gets worse when you put pressure on its combat system.
