Good
Studios have had SIX YEARS since Alyx and failed to produce a single VR game that even roughly approaches its level of production quality. Literally the only good thing coming out of VR are ports of 6th-7th gen flat games, we don't need Meta or Valve for those
>>

Get the weight down to practically nothing, work the lens situation out so that people with glasses don't need to buy 3rd party custom lenses to be able to see, and produce high quality AAA porn.

After some judges in America (Californian Supreme Court, specifically) overruled the voters' decision re: homosexual union, trannies were the only group that the activists could focus on.
If not for the fact that troonery is getting some pushback (Cass Report, Olympic Committee), the activist infrastructure would have had to have been pivoted towards either bestiality, incest or noncery next, so they're probably counting their lucky stars that they don't have to get into those just yet.

VR isn't going away any time soon, it's been on-again-off-again since the 60s and has been consistently developed ever since consumer VR became viable in the 2010s. The genie is out of the bottle and it will never lose consumer grade enthusiast support.

Lmao no, Android is just a convenient way for them to crowbar in vendorware while denying you real administrative control over your device.

It's confirmed to be Linux for ARM, so if anything is a fork, it would be Android.

Gays were containing trannies until 2016 when gay marriage was finally legalized in the US. Since that was the last legitimate legal battle for homosexuals to fight, every normal one checked out of politics at that point, and no longer had any reason to protest or be a part of the "movement". As such, LGBT had 3/4 groups satisfied with the state of things and the T totally co-opted the whole thing. LGB pretty much just wanted the same rights as heterosexuals including marriage, lack of workplace discrimination and not getting beaten to death. T do not have stated goals, their struggle is endless because effectively what they desire is total acceptance from everybody. Gays did not seek this out because it is impossible.
Worst part of this is that Ts aren't even a sexuality, they're just a parasite that clung onto a movement led by people who are perfectly capable of fitting in to normal society. Now that they're pissing basically everybody off, they're going to drag all the gays down with them, even though the latter just wanted to be left alone.

They already tried a few baby steps with pedophilia and failed hard. The truth of the matter is, while most people are a bit put out watching gay shit (unless it's the opposite sex), all those three things are completely disgusting to your average person. Even incest between consenting adults, the most socially acceptable of those three, still gives people the big ick as seen by the backlash to the Grave of Andy and Leyley and Street Fighter 6 despite depicting second cousins in the latter. Pedophilia and bestiality are especially never gonna gain mainstream acceptance.

VR is not dying brother, they tried to make it mainstream throwing money at it, creating expensive games (Alex, batman, assassin's creed etc), but they realized other devs didnt had the money to burn like they did. VR needs to grow on its own pace, and we have some indie games being produced that can become good games in the future, but again, patience.

It will never be popular until devs realize the lens are supposed to be like controllers and not consoles. This generation of VR has the same foundational problema that the Virtualboy had, they are for autistic loners. VR will become mainstream popular when normies can invite other people to their homes to play a VR game together.

no one ever played horizon, they were just burning money on it, and reality labs is the mixed reality shit which barely anyone used either. It was a cool idea but never implemented to any meaningful capacity for gaming or even the proposed workspace apps.
VR is gaming, they're 1:1, every attempt at making it something else has failed miserably, even porn looks like shit without way expensive cameras and knowledgable editors. that's why most of it ends up being giantess porn from laughable distortion.

That said, no one took advantage over the last like 6 years of nogaems despite massive hardware sales. faceberg tried with bamham and asscreed and they were okay (deadpool sucked it was just a bonelabs mod lmao), but nothing meaty, nothing substantial and most importantly nothing consistent. One 3 hour "experience" game every 2 years is not enough for a platform to survive on, no multiplayer games have come out to really hold people either. It's beat saber, and that's really it.

Literally just a Nintendo front so that they could market the Switch more while getting some free capital, before they killed the project in a way that would scare off Switch 2 emulation, since they didn't have any games lined up for this gen that would benefit from free marketing. Zuckerberg killed VR gaming in the crib by enticing every dev to the Quest platform to make nothing but shovelware. Devs also need to get their heads out of their asses and make stead mode + gamepad a viable option.
The industry will limp along propped up by VRChat for the foreseeable future.

>Zuckerberg killed VR gaming in the crib by enticing every dev to the Quest platform to make nothing but shovelware
The problem with this narrative is that there's no counterfactual, it's not as though there was ever a healthy development environment when it was just PCVR. If anything the Quest should have helped the market, since the userbase isn't tech savvy enough to pirate games(even though it's extremely easy) and development costs are lower since graphical fidelity is lower

The problem of VR is that there are no good tools that allow devs to effortlessly shit out VR games.

If you had the VR equivalent of RPG Maker to allow Japs to pump out endless amounts of VR porn games in a cheap and timely manner there would be an actual market blossoming around it.

Just financing a few tech demos that have to be mind-numbingly generic by default since they're attached to the name of a giga corporation is always going to be a guaranteed failure.
>>
>>736027604
unreal engine is literally that
most games coming out are all the same vr game ready assets they bought on the ue store
>>
>>736027656
Nah it isn't even close.
Just look at regular UE games that japs put out, they look like shit and run like shit, and those are normal games without the VR gimmick.
And those games often are made by professional studios with decent budgets.
I used RPG Maker as an example because a single person can create a full game in it by themselves or with just minimal outside help, and have it be a solid experience that sells in the millions.

Until VR allows devs that kind of freedom, it simply won't get any real games worth experiencing.

Valve has literally come out and said they don't have any RAM for the upcoming lineup and asked anyone who did to hit them up. Right now 2026 isn't a certainty at all. I do think the Frame will almost certainly come out eventually, maybe 12-18 months down the line. >The problem of VR is that there are no good tools that allow devs to effortlessly shit out VR games.
It's not even that hard. VR is getting added to Unity and UE games as mods and would presumably be even easier for the developers to add.
This is the kind of thing that could be done by one guy or one team if they were given the go-ahead to do it.
The fact that they're not doing it can at least partially be attributed to the same reasons that studios will occasionally torpedo their game with bad Nvidia gimmicks: They're being paid not to make VR games.
>>
>>736034804

>For me, just exploring games I already know from a new perspective would be a cool enough use of the tech
but that's extremely niche. the bulk of those audiences isn't coming back for more, and as for newer games this could have maybe worked a decade ago. today the AAA industry is too volatile, and the VR market is fragmented in between locked ecosystems.

>were already making THE killer app for VR
and they scrapped most of waht they had done because they couldn't agree on anything internally. that game should have debuted with the Vive 1, it didn't even need Alyx levels of polish, but they went instead with a bunch of indie shovelware. not the best of impressions

I wish the Rookie app still worked but it got shut down due to dmca. It was the best way to pirate meta games, not the system is fucking useless. Any updates on alternatives?

most vr porn is ass
it's generic as fuck production level slop with no soul
the decreased demand combined with the high cost and slight technical hurdles of VR cameras means your average QT who does amateur homemade stuff isn't going to bother creating VR content

virt a mate is okay... though it's janky as hell and it takes a while to find decent scenes and models that aren't uncanny daz freaks

>How did the gay crossdressing shit get this out of hand?
It got real bad the same time as everything else in society, the media and the internet got really shitty. Just a few years after Occupy Wall Street.

Merely a coicidence, I'm sure.

You can still use Rookie or Side quest to install .apks, but you'll just have to source those from whatever bumfuck mirrors or torrents people use to pirate software these days

Every single thread has this cope narrative. You really think developers would've literally somehow conjured tens of millions out of thin air, to blow on a userbase of <4 million headset owners pre-Quest? Who would've funded all these AAA next-gen VR titles? Valve did it and nothing happened afterwards.

The girls look good, there's usually multiple, and I can't usually tell what they're saying so the dialogue isn't a turn off. The only issue is that most of everything is static camera, but that works fine for me
