Tremere being an useful proxy for the Ventrue and a bizarre artificial Tzimisce bloodline gone horribly wrong, and the ensuing escalation of conflict warranted international attention about the already existing power struggle.Meanwhile, Cappadocians were more isolate clan that preferred to stay in shadows and nerd out reading books, praying and studying death. And Giovanni was a legitimate bloodline of said clan. So it was seen more as a civil war among a relatively weaker and politically detached clan that didnt spark enough tension for other major Vampiric actors to give a shit about it.

They somehow got their neutrality put in writing at Thorns with a specific clause despite how many Princes had Cappadocian allies and friends. Like when you get enough XP to shift from Neonate to Ancilla or Ancilla to Elder. It's a bug. You can get a HUGE blood pool this way. Depending how many artifacts you wear during one of the key xp level turnovers, and how many times you do it, it ranges from a nice bonus that keeps you equal or greater than your companions to plain ridiculous
