And it's generally preferable to go all in on one type of stat instead of spreading them out. Same goes for your pawn. There's a point very late in the story where you can farm the class points without getting much exp to unlock the class skills without risking levelling up too. A bit annoying really.Other than that what weapon and how upgraded it is determines your damage. Though if I were to wager a guess you went to BBI right away which has end game enemies you won't hurt much until you get some gear.

There's only one thing about the controls that drives me crazy. Well maybe two things.First is that the game sometimes gets confused regarding your orientation while climbing on a monster. Suddenly instead of going to the right you're going backwards or something else entirely. Very annoying.Secondly is how long it takes to end a specific animation. You'll climb onto a drake and start hitting its exposed heart. Only for it to do the claw-swipe and now you're suddenly on its shoulder instead. No longer hitting the weakpoint.So you have to stop hitting it so you can climb back to its chest, but first you need to wait for the animation to stop so you can actually move. Which takes forever depending on your weapon of choice.By the time you make it there you're on 20% stamina and it's probably time to eat some fruit.I feel forced to bring daggers for fighting drakes because of how slow everything else is. It's not about spamming skull-splitter either, it's just simply faster to wail away spamming light attacks with daggers than setting up some big hit with a 2-hander.

I think this is what stopped me from climbing monsters like I did in the first game, and just rely on attacking the toes. It's made even worse when enemies try to shake you off, because even if you were holding the same direction as you were before, your character may now move in a completely different direction. And they might not even be in the same place before the shaking because the terrain/monster collision or whatever moved them around.

Heck, maybe even game design too.Camera, character skeletons, animations, inputs & controls, physics, motion blending, complex geometry and hitboxes, object position, game engine speed, animation playback frame amount, FPS etc. There are a lot of things that are tied to this. So what worked in 1 and its engine probably simply is not applicable in 2.You can look up quaternions and rotation in 3D, it's big math thing and can be hard to grasp. This and collisions is why some games don't allow looking directly up or down, don't have swimming or flying, jumping on objects, ladders and raising platforms. All of this gets funky very quickly.

Even if you somehow miss ever tell and it triggers any important NPC will respawn a few days later and there's always the eternal wakestone for mass resurrection, and yes even the fake version will work or just quickly rush though the game to get into a new NG+ cycle..People overplay how devastation dragonplague is, its really not that big of a deal.
