Couldn't get into Adventure 2, which is allegedly the best one, never tried the old 2D ones, but I played this purely because I grew up watching the pokecapnLP playthrough and then later the GameGrumps one. Honestly, this game is pretty clunky, but if you're playing on an emulator with no loading times, it's alright. The Sonic parts at least. Shadow and Silver are pretty boring to play, so it's a shame that apparently all these new Sonic games have you play campaigns and you end up not even playing as Sonic for 80% of it.I also recently started playing Sonic Boom, which is also really bad according to everyone, and it's fine I guess, but it's no Sonic 06.

Nobody or their grandmothers like the dogshit gimmicks they put in Sonic, only the actual action platformer Sonic gameplay which is what adventure games did best at the time and they were unable to replicate since then. Shadow and 2006 were their best work at the base, stripping out of the game any deadweight gimmick and sticking to the platforming gameplay, but they always manage to fuck it up. Honestly i'm not surprised that every Sonic fan it's a masochist cuck autist when this entire franchise it's all about blueballing the fans nonstop.
