Does /v/ like licensed games, if so, what's your favorite?

Nah I usually avoid them. Maybe there's a hidden gem I'm missing out on, but I don't play any
>>

In recent memory, Marvel Midnight Suns. On paper, this should have been a disaster. What do you mean you're going to make Xcom with cards, and then add relationship mechanics where you can hang out with Marvel characters? My only complaint is that I wish they went for a stylized artstyle instead of something realistic.
>>
>>736099251
Harry Potter 1 and 2 (PS1) and 3 (GC,PS2)
Why isnt this a thing anymore by the way?
>>
>>736099485
game dev cycle too long, every game must be 100GB+ and ultra realistic, shovelware/low graphics bad

I'd kill for a good Shrek game based on the first movie.

All things considered, these games are pretty harmless. Better then the faggot coded games we get nowadays
>>
>>736102552
>King kong
Scared me shitless as a kid.
>>
X Men Origins Wolverine is way better than the movie because the devs basically made God of War with Logan and it was dope

This is not the same Shrek 2 on PC right? That's what I played back in the day and I really liked it especially the levels in the levels in the Fairy Godmothers lab and the Gingerbread Kaiju level

It's a super fun fighter
>>
Which Shrek game was the 4-player isometric beat-em-up? That one was pretty good if I recall.
I think it even had the licensed music from the movies
>>
>>736099251
PS2 and PS3 Transformers were kino
>>
>>736099251
Star was revenge of the sith was the best fighting game I ever played
>>
>>736099251
Barnyard was legitimately good on ps2 and wii.
>>
I had a Cars game on PS2 that was a sequel to the movie and it was pretty good.
Had a full open world to drive around in with areas from the movie and original places that just looked nice, all interconnected.
Probably the last licensed game I can remember that went whole hog and did pretty much everything you could possibly want from something like that.

What you posted and The Spongebob Movie Game were ones I played a lot when I was younger. In the latter I remember I always got scared by those segments where you have to kill all the waves of enemies in some giant flat empty floating grass platform because of the tense music and all the sound effects
>>
>>736099251
I seem to remember this one being a pretty good platformer
>>736099485
HP2 on Ps2 was the shit, those first three games were incredibly atmospheric and comfy

Lil Red is still my waifu
>>
>>736109105
Was there a reason why she was made so much more prominent in the games? Her ass was literally a 7 second joke in the film and her she is tagging along with them and even having a small quest in the beginning of the game
>>
>>736108387
I think the billy and mandy game is a power stone clone as well. I wonder if it's any good.

I really liked this. The minigames, the concept, the secrets, the driving, the general feel of belonging in a family and being a mouse.

Recent game announcements really make me wish more experimential games were made, even copies of this would be good, That, an "hero platformer" like some of the levels in madagascar for ps2 and more collectathons like dog's life. It really was the golden age.

>4-player Shrek adventure with a shitload of variety
I was surprised by how good this still is. Recently played through it with 3 bros for shits and giggles and it was fun.

Because the game released before the movie so to avoid major spoilers they crammed a bunch of new made up stories.
>>
>>736109105
She should've been made canon.
>>
>>736099251
Why did licensed games get so much worse during the 7th gen
