I typed out a whole fucking reply, jannies are cuntsTo the guy who couldn't play meracle, long and short of it; every press of the button does 2 attacks, one swipe with each claw. If you hit the button twice, she is locked into 4 swings. This is why she feels bad if you don't test and don't read this bit of infoBut also basic attacks stop being used before this point. Star ocean is about spamming special move chains as soon as you get enough mp and/or enough in the mp recovery after battle skill - or in the case of so4 enough purples on your battle board I think. Meracle should not be basic attacking. Her moves are all a combination of launchers and multi hit long animation attacks intended to be chained together. Or, alternatively, intended to be used after blindsiding and freezing the boss so you can do longer animations raw, like wind up punch
