i found bg3 to be a complete downgrade from dos2 which was already stretching my patience with its multiple terrible systems. Like most crpgs the onboarding was drowned in text and game rules that feel too frontloaded. All the characters are ugly and difficult to enjoy and I only made it to mid act 2 so maybe they get better later.
