How do you do, fellow Death Stranders? Finished the game yet?
>>736159002I'm slow so I've only just reached the musician. Its nice to be able to have tracks playing as I walk around now though
deto sturanding
>>736159002finished the game and am now 100%ing mexico>thought I was finally done>4 minute fresh fish delivery between the two furthest shelters with the mountain range between themfuuuuuck yoooooou
My playthrough is slowing down because I don't want it to end. There are no other games like this...
>>736160618i went back to mexico quite early on and saw that order, after failing it twice i made a zipline route to get it done in three minutesit took me hours of falling off mountains to get it righthttps://youtu.be/5fe_19KnWOsi dont recommend it
>>736160891I had just finished setting up my ziplines as of making that post but the order is still on cooldown because I tried it with the trike expecting it to balanced around that, at most, but no, it's a pitfall made for people who are trying to get all 400 S ranks
Haven't started yet but it's next after i finish REquiem
just got to the astrobiologist, 130 hours inwhats even sadder is i have to sell my GPU once this is done, it might be the last game i play, making the most of it and doing everything i can
>>736160747The first game, which was also better lol
I'm in the middle of my To the Wilder replay. Enjoying it more than my original playthrough on Brutal.
Ah shit, you can actually use jump ramps with floating carriers attachedI wish I tested that 50 hours back
so fun surfing down the entire mountain on floating carrier with fragile cargo in my backpack close calls on the way down but it workedsuch fun
another playstation exclusive that people stop shitting on the moment it comes out on pc very typical
>send my vehicle to a distro with the monorail, because I'll be going there eventually>beach jump to a mine to send some resources to another distro>move the magellan to a place I'm planning on arriving at>repeat this multiple times>at some point realize I don't actually know where my vehicle and personal inventory are anymore
Protip: After you rescue the adventurer the second time he sends you a message about the hot springs at the motherhood This is code for theres a hot springs just a bit up the mountain from where he is The warm up effect will last your next bunch of missions
>>736160618It wasn't that hard. I just hugged the mountain range instead of going through it. Passed near the Bokka. Also if you didn't at least 4 star everyone in Mexico (besides the artist) before finishing the game you missed out on a lot of stuff. I loved my big bore handgun. That was always in my holster since I got it.
>>736160747I was doing that, because I remembered how much I didn't want the first game to end. But it isn't as much fun just going back and forth in areas I've already explored, and getting 0.8% of a star on deliveries. And also I wanted to finish it up so I can read spoilers and discuss the game.Speaking of stars, I hate how you're capped at the amount of the progress you can make on a single delivery. It's stupid. If I deliver so much cargo that I get 10,000 likes and enough to get to 5 stars, I should just get the 5 god damn stars. Instead I have to deliver 9,900 likes worth of cargo, then drip feed the person single pieces of lost cargo until I get all the stars. It's a time waster.
>mfw i finally finished the zipline network connecting all the outposts on the snow area
Dollman is telling me to get my affairs in order before the next mission Surely this isnt the endgame Ive only had one or two orders from the last 6 people I connected
>>736164260>mfw I realized no one would ever actually see the complete network, they'd just see some of my ziplines at random set to the straight line setting
>>736165023Maybe if someone got a max level porter connection with you? I never used any of the porter connection stuff. My friends don't have this game, and I don't really care that much about the random structures people throw everywhere. Now if structures took more than a PCC Lv2 and a truck bed of materials to make, then I'd actually be impressed.
>>736165232wait till you find out about pcc lv3
>>736165534Oh yeah I almost forgot about that. Is it possible to unlock Dr. Improbable right when you get to Australia? I only unlocked them at the end of the game, and by now there's not much point.
remember to wash your reedus.
>>736165991maybe? the chiral network connection does seem to go linearly so they might just be hard locked until you get the requisite major node just before themyou could easily grind them out with whiskey and water runs whenever they were up, those are some thorsty boys
Hideo please gimme new game plus where all the people are in the same order, but I do the map backwards starting from terminal know city to Sam's Goon Cave.
Death Stranding 3 when
>>736166507Never thankfully
>>736160618Time for Ziplines. *laugh*>>736159002I'm finally going around the mountain, but I'm still at F5-F6, so not finished finished but getting there.
>>736159002>Finished the game yet?I think I'm on the final stretch. How far am I to the end? Just getting every shelter I've already unlocked to 5 and then move onto mexico.
>>736159002>Finished the game yet?I just got to the snow mountain
>>736159002Put over 150 hours into it when it first came out.Main complaint is that if one is even a little bit inclined to optimize the "gameplay loop", the game quickly turns into just driving your truck everywhere, and you're ignoring most of the tools the game gives you because you don't need them. The game should meaningfully reward the player for playing in different ways.Anyway I'm wondering if the new difficulty mode actually fixes any of that?
>>736167482the optimal way to play would actually be a series of ziplines and jump ramps in straight lines between shelters that are nearest each other, and direct routes for shelters that have express orders between themI wish I had spent less time in the truck, you really don't need to be picking up all that lost cargo on the ground, just do orders, they're worth way more
>>736167482>Anyway I'm wondering if the new difficulty mode actually fixes any of that?To The Wilder? No, it's still a grind. There's nothing new or more challenging for delivering. I haven't played the easier difficulties, but my biggest complaint is that the bosses are bullet sponges. I don't mind a challenge, but bullet sponges aren't a challenge. It's just tedium.
why are the mexican distros so hard to 5 star?do I have to do all orders, even if I already 5 stared for achievos?
>>736168937>why are the mexican distros so hard to 5 star?they aren'tyou can 5 star all of mexico right after you are able to go back in the Magellan
Currently at 50 hours but I just barely reached Pekora / Data Scientist because I’m taking my sweet time with this game. Decided to take a short break from main deliveries and clear all the standard deliveries I’ve done so far and build the road up until the Mothership or whatever that next shelter is called. I fucking love everything about the game
wait, you don't even have to get all to 5 stars for a trophy anymore? this game is waaaaay easier than the first lol
>>736165023I got really bummed out when I realized all ziplines from other players would default to straight lines. Some of my ziplines look like a moron set them up if they didn't make use of the curved connections.
>>736169947the only ziplines I have ever gotten likes on are ones that are directly in front of shelters, and I'm not even sure if it's because people are actually using them, or if they just activate it thinking "this must go somewhere, right?" and then they see that it doesn't and get off of it
>>736169947it's pretty bad when they almost certainly intended for most ziplines around monorails to be curved
>>736169773I actually kinda regret not playing on TTW instead of brutal because it's too easy.
>>736169947yea that part bummed me out as well. could be changed with cheat engine though.
>>736169773Nah, that's still an achievement.
AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>736170504I was wondering if upgrading this one lets it reach
>>736170546the limit is 350m
>>736170603why are we here...
>>736170546Unfortunately not, Lvl 1 zip is 300m unless it's connected to a lvl 2 zip. Lvl 2 ups the distance to 350m. Lvl 3 is just durability.
>>736159002I just got the surfboard, playing very slowly
>>736159002Been 5 starring as I go so advancing pretty slowly. Soon about to meet the rabbit which I think is around the half-way point.
the settlements don't replenish with their materials overtime? The fuck is the point of expanding their deposits? Just having more resources at that specific moment??
>>736169485Glad you're having fun friend :^)
I found that the best way to use other players ziplines is to make it the middle connecting piece of my intended route. If I wanted to make a zipline path that goes from A to B to C then B would be the other player's zipline while A and C I would have to build personally. This way I can build A and C as curved connections to B and thus B will now have curved connections too. They should've just made it so you can choose your curve while using the zipline, but maybe that'd make it too easy?
The president just told me i connected 75% of Australia, so i think im almost done.
>>736170409thank god
>>736159002Im about to finish expedition 33 lads Should i go for Death Stranding 2 next or Cyberpunk. I was told not to DS2 since Expedition 33 is pretty emotional and so is DS2, so i appreciate it more if there is a break between those two.
The mountains and snowy peaks were the best part of the game so far for me.
