I mean I always got them for cheap because I know you could call them asset flips outside of big generational jumps but I'm tired of seeing always the same plot points with very small incremental gameplay changes. The fact that they tried to send off Kiryu gracefully 32 different times and failed also doesn't help.Not excluding the option to buy a retarded spinoff like the Pirate one when it's dirt cheap but I'm done with the mainline stuff.

They not only made him completely incapable of fighting against the main threat, they made him actually contribute to it by saying he is the one who killed the dark dragon over Tokyo, he is the one who helped the DDO take over the city for their own benefit, then he sat around for years doing fuck all until the total badass chad Yakumo showed up to teach him a lesson and save the day, all while Ryu holds him back and refuses to help him.
>>736174538I still think that falls under shitty plot being thrown his way and there's nothing that could be done about it, it's not Ryu's fault that the dark dragon has some really specific genetic trait that only allows a specific clan to be able to kill it, and since at the time there was no Raven capable of dealing with it it fell under Ryu himself to take care of the situation even if the outcome wasn't optimal, he basically traded a city in order to save the world and still hunted some demons to keep the seal strong, and then when Yakumo first showed up dude was such a jobber he couldn't last two seconds against Ryu let alone be able to deal with the dark dragon, he wasn't ruined the world (writers) just dealt him a really shitty hand and that was all he could play
