And yes rainworld is very strong in lore Whole game is built on Buddhist philosophy and cycles of life and death, the whole world you explore is consistent and the reason each area is the way it is can be attributed to different aspects of the iterative complex looking the way it does. Every organism in the ecosystem has a lore to it even, as to why they are that way in the ecological sense as they were purpose built yet had to adapt without their creators around to the urban environment. The way the written lore is found is really damn tedious I'll admit but the environmental storytelling explains a lot of it even before it gets spelled out to you.
