Honestly what can Nintendo do next? What's the next revolutionary gimmick they can pull off? They've done 3D, they've done second screen gaming, they've done touch screen gaming, they've done motion control gaming and they've done VR gaming. Honestly the switch hybrid concept feels like the end of the line. There's literally nothing else Nintendo can do but just continue to make switches and follow Sony's model of just slapping a number next to it.

Their entire business is built around their audience being almost completely replaced over the course of a single console cycle as kids get too old for Nintendo and a new generation steps in to replace them.That's why they can keep releasing the same basic ass New Super Mario Bros and Mario Kart games, because the vast majority of their audience has never played the previous games in the series.Meanwhile Sony is struggling as their audience has stayed largely the same since the late PS2 days and as they've grown older they're now too busy with work and taking care of kids to put any considerable amount of hours into live-service shooters.
