The appeal of taking your games on the go is massive, and Switch 2 appeals to consumers more than a Steam Deck does. Elden Ring, Cyberpunk, and probably more stuff on the way, people absolutely get their dicks fucking hard for the idea of being able to run that shit on break at work or in their bed/couch at home without having to tie down to a PC or a console and TV. Switch 1 had tremendous third party sales, probably larger than the first party by far. The entire Game Key Card system exists TO entice third parties by literally just selling empty carts for minimal production costs without worrying about much else.
