I wish there were more spooky haunted house-style games. RE9 got close to how it felt back in RE1 again with the health facility, I liked moving through the hallways and hearing the soft pitter patter of rain outside.

Grace's section in the care facility is the best part of the game. It brought back old school RE vibes, did you notice the hanging lights swinging above you head as you moved? That is the girl following you in the crawl space between floors. It's that kind of detail that I just love.

nobody wants fixed camera angles with prerenderd backgrounds except nostalgia uncs
Reminder that the only reason fixed camera was a thing back then was because of tech limitations and not because every single aspect of the OG was a deliberate artistic choice
