It would be completely fine if it was like Paper Mario 64 where you can do a defense build and negate all damage IF you build for it and block correctly. But being able to outright parry destroys the need to build properly because you WILL win eventually so long as you parry and do 1 damage. This is why TTYD is inferior too btw
