>completely kills all open world, sandbox crime gamesI cannot think of a huge video game franchise that has no competitor. In the 2000s and early 2010s, you had some games trying to compete and they all failed, True Crime, Sleeping Dogs, Just Cause, Watch Dogs etc. You have:>COD and Battlefield>Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat>Gran Turismo and Forza>Counter Strike and ValorantCountless of Hero Shooters, Battle Royale, Extraction Shooter competitors, but there are no open world crime games like GTA anymore. It's a fucking disaster as a fan of these games. GTA is a curse. You have to wait 15 years for the next game.
assassin's creed is huge and has no competition
>>736195379I'm pretty sure it does. The "RPG" ACs have The Witcher, Ghost of Tsushima/Yotei, Horizon games, basically all the Ubisoft clones like that.
>>736195928not even remotely same deal. you're just listing open world games. like gta. all in all if those count then assassin's creed is huger franchise than gta. considering it has books movies comic books etc. gta only has games so it's not much of an franchise really.
>>736195379as this anon said>>736195379They've strayed so far from the original one. Its exactly like other open world fighting games now. I have no idea why they don't make small games inbetween thats a lot more similar to the first two games, where its just pure stealth and assassinations.
>>736194965Cyberpunk showed me what I want GTA6 to surpass, the bar is set.
>>736194965Sims
>>736196478Cyberpunk is a different game. Cyberpunk is an "RPG" game with an open world. It's not an open world sandbox like GTA. It has none of the reactivity, the physics, the technical quality that is associated with the GTA games. Jesus Christ, GTA SAN ANDREAS from 2004 has a better wanted system compared to Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is a soulless husk of a game.
>>736194965The True Crime/Sleeping Dogs series made R* seethe. They put billboards in all their games trying to shit on them.
>>736196661>Cyberpunk is a different game.
>>736196941You're not going to mention that that was Rockstar responding to a billboard in TC LA?
