The real point is that it's so fucking annoying and time consuming for devs to make good lighting with baked/standard lighting.

With ray tracing it just instantly works by letting the player's GPU to do all the work in real time.

funny part is that most of that is thats not even an issue. there are tons of ways to speed up the process of baking lights without loss of fidelity.
