Started the Ninja Gaiden series with Sigma on PS3. Found out this is the direct sequel. Fuck. Now I feel obligated to finish it. I'm 3 chapters in out of 13. It's got almost all the same locations as in Sigma, but pre-rendered backgrounds, and the combat is as frantic as in the real thing. I really wanna get to NGII on my Series X, but I need the canon--! Also, Momiji is in Sigma 2 but not NGII... now idk what to play but I hear Sigma 2 is hated.

I will. But vidyas really feel like homework sometimes. I also just beat NG on NES Online on my Switch 2. Worth it. Super impressive for an NES game with all its narrative. Easy to forget that already started on NES.

Nintendo has slacked harder than I realized, cuz they're not on NES Online.

I can get them on Wii U though, but no way I'm playing these without rewind.

Play 2 and save your Momiji experience for 3, Razor's Edge is the best experience for the girls

they're super hard but worth it, you can emulate them well since most NES emulators are cycle-accurate

Awesome. The way I'm set up, I got all I could off Myrient before it closed for my PS3 library, so I have Sigma, Sigma 2, and NG3 (not Razor's Edge), but I have a Wii U and Series X, so I got NG2 on Xbox, and Razor's Edge on Wii U. I also got DOA PSOne Classic on PS3, and DOA2 Hardcore for PS2. And then I found that Xbox offers DOA1 Ultimate, DOA2 Ultimate and DOA3, and 4. I got 5 Ultimate on PS3 as well, Dimensions on 3DS, and I probably spent 250usd on DOA6 so far for all the coomershit.

It's fun to play a bit of DOA's origins between these games as well. I like getting into a new fighting game series and discovering its canon.

I had more fun with DS than 2
The only good thing about 2 was Genshin

Not that anon. I started playing through Ninja Gaiden at the start of the year. Played through all 7 classic games, followed by DoA 1-3 just to get context for the characters that show up in Ninja Gaiden, beat Sigma and DoA 4 last week, and started Dragon Blade the other day. This whole adventure has been a blast. Even the classic games, though of course I had to save state the shit out of them. As for Dead or Alive, by the time I got to 3, I was no longer playing it just because it was related to Ninja Gaiden. I was actually hooked. I love Bass and Tina's relationship. Zack always has fun cutscenes. From the outside looking in, I always figured I was a Kasumi man. Turns out I'm an Ayane man, which actually ended up making Sigma a much more enjoyable experience. Sigma itself was also a ton of fun. Never knew it was basically Devil May Cry, and I love DMC. Hope you're having just as much fun
