Don't care about this gay video but I did not enjoy the remake. My problem is that I played RE4 enough times that I know every single segment by heart. When playing the remake it was obvious to me how much filler they added. Segments that would take 10 minutes in the original take over 1 hour in the remake because you need to get through a bunch of pointless fights. They also added the gun range which killed some of the game's atmosphere to me.
You need to turn your attention to the true Demake, the 2002 destruction of RE1.

For an action game to work you need to keep the player under the illusion that what they're doing is important and relevant for the plot. This happens by keeping the player in the blind regarding what progresses the plot and what doesn't. This is the problem with remakes that add filler without changing the plot, I know what is filler and I know that it is irrelevant.
