if tomorrow the Switch 2 would be hackable just by downloading a program from github and connect your console to the pc through the usb port and have a fully free protected side-store built-in with cheats available too, would you buy one?
I have a hacked Switch OLED already all set up, no point buying a Switch 2 since it has no games.
Probably. But just to have a unit with vulnerable firmware. Can't pirate no games
i'd consider it. it will never happen though because it's designed at every level to be as difficult to hack as possible and the only reason the switch 1 was cracked was because nvidia fucked up royal.
Already bought one
>>736213542>it will never happenIt always happens and will happen to switch 2 sooner or later
>>736213651The countermeasures are pretty hardcore. I don't see it happening till the console it's at it's EOL. Maybe even later.
Wishful thinking: The thread
>>736213651you underestimate how ridiculously overengineered it is. they created their own custom microkernel OS from scratch just to make it as secure as possible which is almost unheard of in consumer tech.it's not literally impossible for the switch 2 to be hacked but it is extremely unlikely unless a pissed off former engineer decides to fuck nintendo overnintendo are firm believers in the idea that you do not actually own what you paid for and they will always get away with it because their customer base will pay money for literally anything
>>736213596do games get discounts often like on steam?
>>736212416no, I would still wait for switch 3 to come out and buy a 2nd hand switch 2 cheap>>736213542>nvidia fucked up royaldidn't it happen like 3-4 times for 1st switch? for each different version? were they all have nvidia's fault?
>>736214610Third parties yes, first party nintendo games only get sales once every quarter or so.
>>736212416For a second I thought it said BLACKED
