Are you buying it next month?
>>
STOP MAKING 3D PLATFORMERS. Either make a 3D version of Shadow of the Ninja Reborn or fuck off. We've had enough tranny movement games with unlimited lives.

>>

Assuming a woke red flag doesn't show, yeah. Gotta complete my collection.

They always blow the hype for these things by announcing them too early. Everyone who freaked out at the prospect of a good Bubsy game would have bought this reflexively, if they had waited until THIS Summer Games Fest to announce it, then dropped it two weeks later.
But giving it most of a year to filter out of the public consciousness means that a lot of people have totally forgotten about it.
>>
>>736214892
I'm this. They should have announced this game like 3 days before it came out, not a god damn year
>>
>>736214214
oh yeah, last game I bought was Yooka Replaylee and I am jonesing for a new game purchase.

Every company thinks their shit is going to be the most anticipated game of the year, and they think word of mouth still works like it did before the internet.
People would flip the fuck out and earn them way more preorder sales if these E3 replacement shows started showing games that are coming out in two weeks instead of in two years like they always fucking do.

Seeing something that isn't years away at one of those shows is such a rare occurrence these days that offering something that's just days away is automatically worth points. Even if you're making an open world slop game no one wants, you'll automatically sell some units just because it's the only thing that's actually on the horizon. This doesn't apply to playtests and live service multiplayer games. The opposite is actually true of those.

did you even read the title? It's going to be a 4D platformer, obviously.
>>
>>736215221
It's pokemon nigga. They don't need to hype up anything besides their main series. People will buy it regardless. I bought pokopia, but not because it was announced a year ago. It's not like the pre release discussion was about which pokemon were in the game.

I wasn't talking about Pokopia. This is a Bubsy thread. And I was actually talking about the majority of games that get big trailers that don't announce a release date at all, or they give one that's years into the future.
Bubsy 4D would have absolutely benefitted from waiting until it was closer to release to announce. It had a ton of interest and hype in the first couple weeks, and that naturally died down over time.
>>
>>736214214
This is very obviously another cashgrab by Atari to try to stay relevant. I won't but go ahead. These are practically made for retards like yourself.
>>
>>736215524
bubsy's audience includes exactly one group, which is "people who know that bubsy games are bad", thank you jontron. bubsy could retool itself to be the next crash bandicoot, but its reputation will proceed it. the hype is already gone because there are no genuine bubsy fans besides ullililililia or whatever
>>
okay whose gonna start posting the weird but strangely alluring transition bubsy art
>>
Everyone hate on Bubsy 3D too much, it's actually quite a gem once you understand it.

Because it doesn't matter when the game is coming out to these companies. Announcements hype up shareholders and make stocks go up. Even if the game comes out 8 years from now, publishers already pocketed or spent all the shareholder money and, more often than not, the people who got paid had already moved on from the company, so the game ending up shit means nothing to them.
If anything, expect wait times to only go up, because the worst financial thing a publisher can do is actually deliver. Just look at GTA6. You think they're delaying the game to improve the product? lol
>>

We already squeezed all the juice out of sqrlyjack's reaction to this game getting announced back when the rant first came out.

>>736216339
100%. Oblivia isn't his girlfriend and he doesn't want her to be. The kids are his niece and nephew, and he's voiced by Sean Chiplock.

>>736214892
This with most nextfest demos. Release your shit while people still give a shit
>>
Yes, I'll "buy" it.
