It needs a minor rework, but it's exacerbated by cryo being a tight map where people only use bully, shotguns, and knife. If they can give it a damage reduction if facing the opponent but retain the heavy damage when attacking from the rear that basically stops it from being too obnoxious. We'll see but knowing bungie having 100 melee won't change anything while everything below 100 will be noticeable weaker

To be fair, solo Cryo is quite the conundrum to figure out. Maybe remove the clearance mechanic to open up spawns?

The whole map layout with it's spawns and the clearance system only works in trios. As of right now to make it soloable they would need to spawn multiple probably hostile players in the same T1 or T2 areas and probably also open up the T3 doors connecting the wings. But honestly that would make Solo Dire Marsh spawns seem like a joke and would make Solo casuals just quit even faster.
