I am a complete amateur so I might be completely wrong but I feel like learning songs off tabs and shit like this doesnt REALLY teach you guitar. It teaches you how to play songs and builds up your fingers but you don't know anything you are playing. Its like being able to sing a song in a language you do not understand. I really like playing tabs and learning fingerstyle anime songs on acoustic but I feel like im making no progress because I dont know the theory behind any of it. Shits hard man.

It wont you teach you guitar but it will teach you songs.
