I can't believe we're finally getting a GOOD simcade racing game.
>>736228406pic unrelated
>>736228489Feel free to elaborate. Bitch.
>>736228489wreckt
>>736228489Name a racer with better handling.

>>736228406>no VR support>"GOOD"kek no.

Forza 7 is an amazing simcade, it's a shame the career mode sucks balls. why nobody ever tried to replicate "buy shit car, win races, buy less shittier car" formula from Gran Turismo?
>>736232031I want to agree but their tire model is actually shit for a sim. Hopefully they get some good results from their tests.T. 500 hours.I will also not buy WF2 without VR.
>>736232249Modern audience just wants to weave through traffic in super cars and do drifts.
>>736232427Other devs should do other things because Horizon already got that market and I doubt players are willing to use their time on another game to do the same. The Crew may be the excpetion and even then it doesn't make the numbers Horizon does. There is a market for other kind of stuff.
>>736233124Not really since racing games are pretty niche. People definitely like watching these games being played, not really play themselves. Remember we are talking about corporations here in 2026. There may be a market, but I dont think its big enough for their investment.
>>736233815Ironically, we're living the golden age of sim racers.
can't afford a wheeli dont want cheap shit and i can't justify spending $300
>>736234112You only say that because gaymers finally got a few games they wanted after waiting for 10 years. Its a relative golden age. Hopefully they unfuck EVO and GT7 stops being a PlayStation exclusive here soon. Also AC Rally replaced RBR for me, its lacking content but my God, do I love the FFB and handling in that game once you get it tweaked to your liking.
Just like the first game I will buy it when the full 1.0 release or whatever the call it is announced but before they jack the price up to the full retail price. Early access is against my religion.
>>736234221You can always sell it for almost the same price or in some cases for more than what you paid for it, if you take care of it and bought a good wheel.I myself don't really see it as "spending" the money because of that, it's not an asset that rapidly depreciates in value.
>>736234556What about LMU, irenting, AMS2, Raceroom or modding original AssCorsa? You can complain about them doing basically the same but that's what most of tryhards behind a wheel want, competing in the same track with the same car until the end of times. By that standard, this IS the golden era.>>736234221Get an used wheel. I don't know what you are looking for but an used Moza R3 is more than enough. I've seen people with years behind a wheel wishing they could have something like it when they started.
You should be able to solve this.
>>736235223Yes I do argue that they all do the same thing. My original statement was in the context of calling racing game niche because they only appeal to hyper autists who want to drive GT3 cars for 24 hours straight or pure arcade racers like Forza doing zoom zoom stuff as the greatest market share. When I think of golden age, I think of ~2000 to ~2012 because you had massive amount of racing variety. After that is stagnated pretty hard in the AAA market. I am glad things seem to be picking up again.
>>736232249I prefer having to work for my shit cars and treat supers as my stepping stone to get there
>>736228406Is that the pyro?
>As god on a controller as a Forza game>Wheel handling FFB miles ahead from the first game to the point it does somethings better than actual simsIt's all great and all but I'm still saying THQ should have handled Carmageddon IP to them instead of just making a sequel.
>>736228406I really enjoyed the first game, so I'm really looking forw-Oh... well I guess I'll play it in 3 years when it's out of Early Access.
