Starcraft Brood War is still big, Homeworld & Cataclysm are regularly talked about as amazing campaigns, age of empires and command and conquer both are discussed and played regularly, newer games like Empire at War and Sins of a Solar Empire get hugely popular mods, warcraft 3 is still kinda around. Sure, usually things settle on 1 or 2 franchise entries, but RTS is an extremely long lived genre.
