What does that even mean? Chrono Trigger is objectively a masterpiece. The artstyle and the music are top notch. The story and gameplay are also good. Especially for the time it came out, the game was really good. I still remember seeing this game in a magazine back in 1994 or whatever, and I was really astonished by how good it looked. My modded Skyrim was still far from perfect, but it was a very immersive RPG. Two must have mods for example are the Mystic Knight animations (vanilla animations suck ass), and the Requiem overhaul (makes it more oldschool RPG by getting rid of level-scaled enemies, etc).

With these 2 mods installed, the game is already a lot better.

It's fine, but its a complete downgrade compared to X2. X2 isn't superior to X1, but it was a lot faster game with some cool upgrades and fights. X3 was a downgrade in level design, fights, upgrades and just general flow. X2 has you on the ropes while X3 just takes you on a stroll. My biggest problem with Kirby games is that all the levels feel the same. There's never a level or a section that feels like a stand out. They all just kind of blend together and there never feels like there's any real progression. It's just a random batch of levels. The only exception was Revenge of Meta Knight.

Admittedly, I haven't played a Kirby game since Superstar Deluxe. I just lost interest in the series after that and have not bothered to pick any of the later ones up.

PC version is solid. The game was using GRIN's inhouse Diesel Engine instead of some slopware and their games run solid on PC. BC09 can hit higher frame rates on PC without issue.

Yes, and Psyvariar is meant to be played aggressively. Point-blank grazing for faster "level ups" (invincibility). Ramming into enemies during those two seconds of invincibility. Grazing with everything an enemy sends your way before killing them (shooting, or ramming if invincible) If you just cower at the bottom of the screen, you will either die a lot, or your game will otherwise end prematurely due to Level requirements. Many boss patterns are also lightning fast, especially the iconic Psyvariar criss-cross patterns.
