Also necessity of longer, more expensive development cycles for new games meant that padding out the release schedule with rereleased with minor enhancements was a smart move, otherwise you end up with a situation like the switch 2 where it has fucking nothing coming out for it for months at a time. Of course at this point the well of easy to do rereleases has run dry so they're stuck with either reviving older stuff (more expensive to modernize) or just making expansion packs for switch games

So, as someone who paid for the $20 dlc, don't buy it. It's several online multiplayer games that you play locally or online (only with friends, no randos) and, like, 7 boss battles.
