Yeah probably, I feel like that's going to have to happen across all weapon types and classes at some point. Either they dump 2x the amount of skills into each tree or they loosen up and allow some cross weapon skills.

Doesn't really matter though because you can just have a spear on weapon slot 2 and use spear abilities anyway. You don't have to press weapon swap in PoE 2 at all you just assign a mace skill one Q, spear skill on E and you can use both without cooldowns.

I got into this game initially because I thought it was going to avoid turning into wide screen epileptic spam.
Now I understand that it will never happen. Even if the creators go that way, the fanbase wouldnt like it because this is what they want. More of what POE 1 was.
It will never be a game for me. The part I enjoyed the best was at the very begining, going with a warrior 2 handed, barely using any skills.
When I finished act 1 I loved it, then I saw my friend, playing a wizard, was already on hard. When I saw the gameplay, I was instantly disapointed.

They lost the "unfinished" and "it's only early access" privileges after working on it for like 7, or it might be even 8, fucking YEARS. And what's out there is still retarded and needs big changes.
90% of the entire skill tree is rancid ass and needs a whole rework, but I know it won't come cause they can only focus on one thing at a time now being the endgame.
Still needs a lot more gems and supports, AND how they all work to achieve what they want to lest it still ends up exactly like PoE 1 in that department. Baffles me that ever since the moment they started working on this they didn't think to have a team dedicated to thinking of exactly how to make a system that fits the requirements that they themselves set because it's the main core pillar of the game. The very first thought I had when they mentioned the whole "combo" bullshit and that supports aren't meant to just be "X% more damage" was how hard it must be to figure out what those gems would do to fit those strict requirements:

>skills have to play off each other to satisfy the combo system
>but also none of them can be TOO good otherwise they'll be used in every build so there will be no build diversity (already happened in some patches, here's my CoC Comet build #24 with a side of spark bro)

Yet it feels like they're all either recently thought of, or they thought of some of them and just sat on them until 0.1 released.
