What you sound like saying there will never be a Switch 2 emulator
>>
>>736261265
bloodborne on PC TOMORROW
>>
>>736261265
It'll probably happen eventually. People thinking it would happen during the Switch 2's life cycle like it did with the Switch 1 are the retarded people

I love how he closes with "I hope this helps"

Why isn't there a Switch 2 emulator yet? It seems like it's pretty much just a more powerful Switch so it shouldn't be that hard to go from a working Switch emulator to a Switch 2 emulator
>>

Why did people use … so much back then?

it was normal punctuation that could be used without malice or irony back then

This is some scam asking people for money and is never going to make anything, right?
>>
>>736261762
It's not really just a powered up Switch internally (backward compatibility is a mix of hardware and software emulation) and security-wise the system is locked down tighter than a nun's cunt so we're probably still years away from a working hack.
Plus, Nintendo made sure to kick emulator developers extra hard in the balls near the end of the Switch 1's life meaning few people are stepping up to work on the Switch 2.

the switch 2 makes heavy use of encryption to the point where you can't emulate it without breaking the encryption. nintendo did this because while emulation is legal, breaking encryption is not, so they have the legal authority to shut down emulation projects.

Why can't PCbros just play all the recent noteworthy PC exclusives coming out instead of Nintendo games?
>>
>>736261762
Switch 1 used a pretty well documented Nvidia chip that had a hardware exploit that they couldn't patch. Compare that to the Switch 2 that uses a custom Nvidia chip with little to no documentation and the security is just all around better

And the Switch 2 uses a translation layer to play Switch 1 games, you can't expect to just rework a Switch emulator and make it compatible with Switch 2

The obvious workaround for this (at least to me) is to have the emulator only work on games files that have been decrypted elsewhere, and decryption done by a completely separate tool that can be hosted on random foreign websites. Ideally none of the people working on the emulator would also work on the decryption tool.
>>
>>736263258
do browns really
>>
This is true, people repeat it every single generation. They're just like the world is ending people except the inverse, instead of "this year for sure it's gonna end" it's "this will finally be the console Gen that emulation ends"
>>
>>736261757
I would like it to happen before the Fire Emblem game releases. I haven't missed a Fire Emblem since I started playing with Sacred Stones, and even though I do not have a job and have no access to money so I can't afford a Switch 2 I would like to play the new Fire Emblem.
>>
>>736264006
To add to that; the decryption tool side would need good opsec, and ideally be ran by someone in a country where the legal system does not care about such things, and where the local organized crime lacks any yakuza ties (pretty sure that is what screwed the Ryujinx project over).

There will be a Sw2 emulator. It's just going to take so long this time that Sw3 will be out by the time you can comfortably emulate Bananza.

>t. PC, Deck + Switch 2 Chad who actually understands emulation and been emulating since age 10.

Nintendo unironically learned. Sw2 is the most cryptographically secure game console ever.
>>
>>736265105
you are the face of every emulation beggar. you have no technical expertise, no money, no job, and yet you still want something better people than you worked tirelessly on, for free.

God Bless Nintendo for forcing losers like you to get off your ass. Pic related.
>>
>>736261265
even back then fucking seajeets beggin for emulators you cant make this shit up
>>
>>736261265
Idk who’s saying this after we got the PS3 emulator which is actually more impressive than basic nvidia technology.
>>
>>736265929
Nobody is saying that there won't ever be one. What they are saying is there won't be a functional one for quite a long time
>>
how the fuck was a snes emulator even made back then? some disgruntled nintendo employee leaked the source code or something?
>>
we don't even have a consistent PS4 emulator and the Switch 2 is more powerful than that. So why would you expect there to be a Switch 2 emulator soon
>>
>>736266083
The 65C816 based chip that the SNES used was probably not too hard to figure out. Generally, more simple tech = easier to emulate, and it was well documented (it was based on the chip used in the Apple II GS)
>>
>>736266184
>we don't even have a consistent PS4 emulator
yeah we kinda do it plays Bloodborne and the M2 Shottriggers ports what more is there
>>
>>736262376
you post this in literally and not figuratively every thread even tangentially related to emulation, near verbatim. it's gotten very stale.

I have literally zero shame. I am broke because I find it funny, not because I need to be. Watching other people waste their entire life while I sit back and do nothing is the height of civilization, and I am not even a (((rich aristocrat))). Get back to your cage.

I will play it thoughever :)

It's not gonna happen because Fire Emblem comes this year and none of the hacker groups have made any headway on Switch 2, most have been disbanded/retired after legal action from Nintendo. Even if they were working their hardest, the security is a lot tougher to crack. People don't realize how lucky we were with the Switch for it to have a day one exploit and Nintendo to be blindsided with the lack of security protection on the device. This is a different ballpark. The scene is different, its harder to crack, and Nintendo is way more aggressive in pursuing people who would make an attempt. These types of scenes rely on a bunch of people contriubting their time for free and if they aren't allowed to do that, you're not gonna make much progress. Even if they could, security is locked down on this device where they might not make any headway for years and years.

Even if it DID get cracked in time for Fire Emblem, it would take a much longer time for the emulation to actually be in a playable state. You're shit outta luck

none of these guys want to face the reality. The paperclip shit was an easy exploit at a time when Nintendo was broke and desperate in 2017. Now Nintendo has a Mount Everest of money, spent years watching Brazilliand, jeetoids and SEAmonkeys brag about playing every Nintendo game for free. Nintendo got fucking pissed and invested millions into ensuring it's basically impossible to crack the Sw2 without using illegal or non-existent computational methods. Nintendo fully covered their bases. There will be no Sw2 emulator until 2034 at earliest, if there ever is one.
