Why isn't there a Switch 2 emulator yet? It seems like it's pretty much just a more powerful Switch so it shouldn't be that hard to go from a working Switch emulator to a Switch 2 emulator

Even if they were working their hardest, the security is a lot tougher to crack. People don't realize how lucky we were with the Switch for it to have a day one exploit and Nintendo to be blindsided with the lack of security protection on the device. This is a different ballpark. The scene is different, its harder to crack, and Nintendo is way more aggressive in pursuing people who would make an attempt. These types of scenes rely on a bunch of people contriubting their time for free and if they aren't allowed to do that, you're not gonna make much progress. Even if they could, security is locked down on this device where they might not make any headway for years and years. Even if it DID get cracked in time for Fire Emblem, it would take a much longer time for the emulation to actually be in a playable state. You're shit outta luck
