i know it sounds weird, but to me this game didnt feel very much like a film noir at all. and its not even just the colors, the story and the tone also didnt feel very noir to me....The one case that felt like a film noir is the one with the boxer and you had to go around town to find out where he is.

Act 3 felt pretty rushed, I didn't like Cole's death, I didn't mind that he died or that the corrupt cops won, but just getting swept away by some water to cut to a funeral was pretty unsatisfying
I woulda liked the game if you would have been actually rewarded for figuring out the killer early.I knew it was the bartender right away but I gotta dance around for another 3 hours

It's been a while since I played this, admittedly only once, but what the fuck was with the story? It's just isolated cases strung together while you get promoted/moved from desk to desk. Meanwhile there's supposed to be some overarching plot about vietnam vets getting addicted to morphine, and Phelps having an affair, which is all happening in the background. And not even a>oh just explore, or do this and that and the story is more obviousNone of that, just straight up the occasional "oh by the way"Like what the fuck?
